London to Paris - Day 4 - Compeigne to Paris
The last day was gruelling
no not gruel (ing)
hard work
lots of hills
followed sign post for Paris
up hills
and then down hills
more signs to Paris
and then yet more hills
no matter how far we went - we couldn't find Paris
then we saw it!
We cycled down
Avenue de St Quen and then into Ave de l'Opera
and all met near to

London to Paris - Day 2 - Calais to Arras via St Omer
Day started after a good breakfast although it was raining!
After 10.30am it wasn't too bad although
we were all freezing when we got to our first refreshment stop
Spent most of the day in the company of Steve from
who is the dead spit for
Cool guy - legend who's 48 - looks 35 and has a girlfriend of 19!!!!
Only did extra 2 1/2 miles today
Bum is fine although feet are bit sore!

I only had to put some cream on them!

Lyndon had an eventful trip
got lost and did extra 12 miles!
but eventually met up again after
one guy rode is road bike across a field
they all got told to get of the autoroute
and one girl slid down a 1;5 hill and ended up in hospital
with a suspected broken arm
Got to Holiday Inn in Arras
very pleasant but funny shaped bathrooms - weird
Have no
today about the shower although there is no bath......
rooms are good though!
Must wear my long cycle trousers tomorrow

Off to have loads to eat
as Im really hungry
and then going to go to bed and sleep like a baby!
Off to Compiegne tomorrow - weather supposed to be a bit better......
